Track

I have not ran the track in weeks and weeks. I took the baby there today for some sprints and I loved every second of it. It felt so good to run "all out" again. What I did today was actually a CrossFit Workout of the Day.

Run 10 x 100 meters for time. Here's how I did...
1.5 mile warm up jog to track followed by some stretching.
Parked the baby in the jogging stroller at the start line facing the track lanes, so he could see me at all times.

The results:
18.14
18.04
17.74
17.47 (Best)
17.62
17.76
17.65
18.40 (Worst, without the jogging stroller). (I could feel the lactic acid creeping in with this one).
Baby started screaming so pushed him on the final 2.
They were 18:96 and 19.0. (Because I had to push him, I won't count these as all out).
Ran another mile at the track and then 1.5 jog home for 4.5 miles total.

Yesterday I ran an easy 5.3 miles and it was wonderful!

MONDAY AND TUESDAY TOTALS: 9.8

It is amazing you can get anything in with your little one. Mine would have been screaming the entire time =) When he was younger like your guy is. Great workout still.=) You are a total speedster!

Makita and OC, I will admit my little guy got impatient after the first 2 sprints, even though he could still see me the entire time. I just talked to him between the intervals. But on the 8th, he was just screaming, (maybe that's why I slowed down). So that's when I decided to push him on the final two.

Bob, 3 hour marathon? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA,bite your tongue young man! In my wildest dreams, maybe. But even then, I doubt it very, very highly.

Dawn, I actually will be able to run a race on July 1. It's not a PR course at all (it's actually one, big, painful hill), but at least it's a race. :)

JWU, I gotta do what I gotta do to get those workouts in. ;)
