I'm nervous! I haven't felt nervous like this for a race since the CIM last year. It's been a LOVELY week of tapering. I cannot even tell you how happy I've been with the cut backs this week. I did run a short quality workout on Wednesday, more to loosen up the legs and lungs than to gain any fitness. It was 1 x 1 mile at 6:26, 3 minutes recovery, 4 x 400 with 1 minute recoveries: 1:27, 1:30, 1:32, 1:31, sandwiched between 2 miles warm up and 2 cool down. The rest of the days have been nice, easy, short runs and lots of stretching.
I'm running 2 easy miles today, and 20 minutes tomorrow, and that's it until Sunday morning. I'll be talking to Miguel tomorrow about my race strategy, but when I talked with him today he said, "Don't be afraid to be aggressive after the first 2-3 miles. Just let it go and do it." I've put in some good training and good miles during this summer's mini-season, and I'm ready to 'let it go and do it.'
I think that's why I'm nervous!
Okay, time to get some grub. Have a GREAT weekend! I'll be thinking about all the kind stuff you wrote in the comments of my last entry, and I'll carry those good vibes with me over the course. Thank you!!!

Good luck this weekend. It sounds as if you're confident and ready to go.
It's ok to be nervous that means you really care about the race and want to do good...SO take that nervous energy and knock it out!!
Visualize the race when you go to sleep, Your Ready GB !!
Good luck - can't wait to see the race report!
Best of luck - hope to see you there!
It's prolly because you have the energy to get nervous. What with all that tapering you should be vibrating with all the energy, like a race car idling before the start. I think you'll do great.
good luck!!!
good luck GB you are going to kick butt!!!
You're primed GB. Just get your Mojo on and tear it up!
