10 Miles and Hill Drills

I had a beautiful 10 mile run today around lunch time. It was probably in the mid 70s, but not too hot by any means. I ran the first 8 miles at an easy pace of 8:30 and finished with 20 minutes of hill charges at the rain basin. I was really pooped out at the end of that 20 minutes! In addition to charging fast up the steep inclines, I practiced my form going back down. Surprisingly nothing hurts right now! After the run I was able to get a nice pedicure complete with foot massage. Yeah! Then we watched the kids' track practice. They are getting so good and they really like it now. I'm very happy that they enjoy it.

Tomorrow the baby and I will run the 4 miles I was supposed to do yesterday. Saturday I have mile repeats and 800s. I am so excited to see what my mile repeat times are these days. I'm not supposed to do them as speed intervals but as cruise intervals, which are about 15 seconds slower than my speed pace. Maybe I'll do 2 at speed and 2 at cruise for a happy medium, but I guess I'll wait and see how I feel Saturday. I can't get too tired because I'll be working swing shift that afternoon.

Time to read a little and wind down for the night. Have a good one!

TOTAL MILES: 10
