This man inspired me to no end. I had written him off as much as everybody else did. He was injured and injured again, and again. He was struggling through races, often dnf'ing. I thought, "I guess his marathon career is over." Shame on me! And although he'll never read this... I apologize whole heartedly for doubting you, Meb. You showed me!!! And you showed the rest of the world, too. Thank you for reminding us to never give up on your dreams! Godspeed!

I'm guilty of it too GB. Because of his recent string of successful races, I thought he'd place in the top 5 or 10, no problem...but to take the whole thing??
